After a 2 month hiatus, I'm getting ready for a brew day Friday. Opened my 60l Speidel and found small black clusters of spores growing inside.
I promptly rinsed, wiped, rinsed, Clorox wiped, rinsed, wiped and finally poured boiling water down the walls of it. Figured a bleach soak is in order tonight. Followed by a day in the sun and lots of star san. Not to concerned about scratches as I've only used a green scrubby once, and lightly. Every other time oxy/pbw has worked.
Anything I'm overlooking?
Gonna boil the gasket and run the lid through the dishwasher on the top rack on sanitize.
