So I want to move up to O2 free transfers.
I keg in Sanke 1/6 barrels. I will be buying a dedicated coupler for transfers.
I am thinking of a process along these lines.
Fill clean keg with starsan, hook up coupler and empty keg via Co2 using a picnic faucet to drain into a bucket.
Bleed off excess pressure in keg.
attach gas line to carboy cap.
Hook up a length of beer line to racking cane and attach to beer in on coupler. I know I will need to remove the little ball in the coupler so beer can flow in.
Apply a couple lbs of pressure, open coupler and let beer flow. I guess I will have to burp the pressure once in a while to keep the beer flowing.
Does this process sound about right?
What size beer line should I buy that will fit over the racking cane?
Seems like the standard 3/16th will not fit on a racking cane.
Having trouble figuring this all out since most info is regarding cornies.
