Hey everybody, I've been on the site and brewing for a couple of years but I'm really getting serious with it now. I've done about 5 batches, and they've been getting better and better, but I want to focus on what I'm doing and really improve.

Just wanted to introduce myself and say that I have picked up some really good tips from this site. I appreciate all the help!

I usually use about 4 gallons of distilled per batch with the rest being tap. That seems to work out for me. I'm thinking about trying my next batch with all tap water that I've filtered to see how that works out. My first couple batches where I just used straight tap water were not that great, but I'm not sure if it was the water or me being a newbie.
