Looks like it's not adjustable and made for flour, I don't think it would work very well.
 
I would tend to agree. Those kitchen type mills are typically geared towards turning grains into flours. There isn't a price, but being a Bosch, I would not expect it to be less than $100. If you want cheap, find someone getting rid of a corona mill on here or Ebay- you should be able to get one for $20ish plus shipping if you keep looking. For just over $100 get a BarleyCrusher.
