I will be brewing a session (og 1.040) American dark ale. I want a 1:1 og:ibu ratio and will bitter at 30 for 1/2 that with Galena. The last 8 min will make up the difference. I would still like to use Galena but have never used it as a finishing hop.
I was leaning toward a mix of Galena and summit at 8 for 10 ibu and a mix of Nelson and summit at 1 for 10 ibu.
I have heard Galena is a poor aroma hop thus the summit Nelson pair at 1.
Thoughts?
