I bought this press at a local flea market. I was wondering if the wood can be preserved with anything but I don't want to poison the fruit when I press it. Thanks in advance. John

Cool old time press. If it has been used for years its probably already about as weathered and its pores are sealed for years. EZ-Do is what is commonly sold as a food safe sealer, not sure if you would be sealing anything out or keeping what has already soaked into the wood from leaking out? You might clean it up a bit and get more than what a new one costs selling it as an antique? WVMJ
