Just recently purchased an amber ale recipe along with my kit.....

Question is: How long much time do I have until the grain is considered not "fresh" and storage of the dry yeast that came with it.

-should I store the dry yeast in the fridge? It's currently in the basement at a constant 68 degrees

-grains have been rolled/crushed.....in ziplock bag.....been there for about 12 days now

Before I bought 4 kits from AHS last year I wrote and asked if I brewed one every 3 weeks, would the 4th kit still be fresh, and they assured me it would.

Don't let that fermentor sit empty! :mug:

I've had crushed grains siting around for a month with no problem. But they must be kept dry.

I'd put the yeast in the fridge. It should be good for quite a while. Look at the date on the package.
