I ended up only getting 5 ounces from my first year growing them. I originally planted two Centennial rhizomes, but one of them died and never grew. I took it back to the LHBS and the owner gave me a Willamette rhizome, I planted it and it promptly got flooded by the the June flooding here in Iowa, I was able to save it but it's not going to have any hops this year.

So the centennial worked out ok, I ended up planting it in a place that probably didn't get enough sunshine. I will move it next spring further south in the yard. I got a window screen from my parents house, they tore out some old windows a few years ago and saved the screens, so that's nice. Here's my drying set up, think it will work ok?

Anyways, the hop cones were smaller than I thought they would be. Here's what I got:

Centennial cones are not big but small and compact. You do not need a fan to dry your hops. A screen and a cool dry place is fine.
