MY wife and kids r getting me the $ 99 kit from midwest but I couldn't wait. I went to the local kitchen store and bought the mr beer Am ale refill just to see if I could get my feet wet. I stopped by north high brewery in columbus oh. To get some extra hops to throw in(them guys r great up there) . Just brewed it tonight it smelt so good I could have drank it then. But I didn't. Cant wait to see how it turns out .just thought I would share . My thoughts but not the beer.lol

Just wait till Santa gets there Mr beer is an extremely simplified version of beer brewing. The real thing is more rewarding and more complicated. Happy brewing.
