Hey Guys Quick question am planning my brew tonight and reading the instructions for about the 5th time noticed something.

Instructions > http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/5gal - black ipa.pdf

Those are the exact instructions and Kit I got..

My Question:

Step 5 is saying to add all ingredients listed under ingredients. So am I adding one LB of Dextrose to the beer?

I figured it would just be for bottling and that they gave me extra??

Yep, that's what it looks like. The dextrose will bump up the ABV. I don't see anything on the ingredients list for bottling, so if you didn't get anything and you don't care about a bit of ABV you could reserve some of it for priming. Or you can dump it all in now and buy some more dextrose or use some table sugar for priming later.

Without any dextrose it would be about 5.1%. With all the dextrose it looks like 6.1%. If you hold back 4 oz for priming it will be 5.9%.
