Ok so i went to lowes and got what i thought would be a tight fitting hose to use as a blow off tube. Well last night i brewed my first all grain batch! it went great but then i noticed that the hose wasn't a tight fit into my stopper at all. Lowes was already closed so i just put the hose thru the stopper and put a wad of epoxy putty around the hose where it meets the top of the stopper and it made a good tight seal. Was this ok to do?? hopefully it wont screw up my beer somehow.
