I'm probably going to have to replace my electric stove before too long. I've got one of those with the coil elements and it's working ok for boiling my extract batches but it's getting tired.
It seems most of the new ones are the flat sealed surface types and my experience with older ones is that they were underpowered.
I think I'd like to go with a solid surface unit if possible, I'd need to get one with the bridge element to help with the big pot but I'm wondering if anyone out there has any words of advice/caution about these things.
Do you use one? Does it do the job? What make/model?
Thanks for anything you can add.
