First ever DunkelWeizen in the fermenter today!
5lb Munich
5lb White Wheat
1lb Oats
12oz Caramunich 1
6oz Carara Special ii
4oz Chocolate Wheat Malt
*** steeped overnight, strained using coffee french press, and added to boil in last 10 minutes
*** and it really did remove the roasted bitterness!
2oz Caramel Munich 60L
1.25oz Hallertau at beginning of boil
WLP 300 Hefeweizen Ale Yeast
