Hey guys,

Just bottled an arrogant bastard clone. I didn't boil the priming sugar because I have primed individual bottles in the past with dry sugar with no issues. In doing some research it seems that the overwhelmingly preferred method is to boil first, cool, then pour in bottling bucket, and top with racked beer to mix. I dumped dry sugar (fresh, right out if pre packaged bag from a kit no other contact) in the bottling bucket and siphoned beer in to mix. I tried not to agitate the beer too much by stiring to avoid aeration. Should be fine, right? If infection occurs, what should I be looking for?

I don't really boil mine. I heat water in the microwave for about 1:30 and then add the sugar. Heat helps it to desolve better. I wonder if it get distributed well doing your method.
