I did a cursory search and didn't find anything about this topic so hopefully its not a repeat. I was wondering if anyone made hop tea and added it to their fermenter in lieu of dry-hopping. My thoughts would be that 1. Less 'stuff' in the carboy to worry about. 2. Better possible extraction of hop oils.
Admittedly, I haven't tried this yet. I think i'll do a couple small SMASH batches and test my theory.

Hop tea is the same as a whirlpool or hopstand. Which is flavor more than aroma. Dry hop is aroma more than flavor.
