I had a couple of pints of Dragonmead's Sin Eater last night. What a great beer. I'd like to make a clone. It's a Belgian Dark Strong at around 11%. Very dark (I tried to shine my phone's flashlight through it, nada), fairly sweet. Here's what I have come up with:

13lbs Belgian pale 2 row
1.5 lbs Special B
1 lb Caramunich
1 lb Cara120 (if I can find it)
1 lb Clear Candi sugar
1 lb Amber (mabe dark?) Candi Sugar
1.5 oz Kent Goldings @ 60min
1 oz Kent Goldings @ 5 min
Wyeast Trappist HG

Mash @ 152

Anything I'm missing? If you've had Sin Eater, I especially like to hear your critique. Thanks!

Anyone? Bueller?

Cara120 is out. Can't get it. Upping Special B to 2 lbs and caramunich to 1.5 lbs. Opinions? Suggestions?

I have a recipe for a Westvleteren Abbot 12 pct. they call for 18 oz. caramunich, 8 oz. Belgian aromatic, 7 oz. biscuit, 4 oz. of special B and 2 oz. british choc. The description of this beer sounds wonderful- " thick whipped cream white head--" "sweet malt, smooth as silk--sipping this beer is a heavenly experience"
