Hi All,
Has anyone used vodka to infuse the cocoa powder for secondary addition ? I tried a small sample and it totally dissolved all the cocoa powder.
I am going to use 8oz. of Hershey's cocoa powder for a 5 gal. batch and use it like a dry hop, (or in this case, wet hop) !!

Thanks for any replies.
 
I can't think of a reason this wouldn't work, although I like tossing my powder in late in the boil so the heat can extract the flavor. Here, the alcohol's doing that job. Make sure it is very well mixed into the vodka, though.
