Hi all,
So I put in for my first competition to get some feedback, takes place tomorrow. Pull out the doppelbock that I entered tonight, first time I gave it a solid two days in the fridge (saving them) and there is a chill haze.

This really confuses me, as it lagered for 12 weeks, never got sub-30s, but pretty damn close. Shouldn't extended cold conditioning drop out chill haze? Also noted similar haze on a marzen that got 4 weeks of lager time.

Added whirfloc @ 5'. No fining.

What is the cause of this? Do I need to do a protein rest for clearer beer? Kind of bummed that I'm going to get dinged on this. Progress, I guess

I use a counterflow chiller, and this was made during winter, so went from boil to 65 rapidly
