Hi all
i've got a cider, mead and wine goin and the cider smells waaay stronger than the others. It's not necessarily a bad smell it just smells more like rotting apples. Which i assume is a good thing? Was just wondering if it's normal and if not could it be contaminated and turning to vinegar? I was hoping there is a way to stop it from going sour if it is.
All 3 of the brews have been goin about a week.
And also is it safe to try some? will it be disgusting you think?
oh and the durn ac broke yesterday and its been around 80 degrees. My yeast says it can handle up to 90. Could it be that my yeast is dying out to fast. The cider was smelling really good a few days ago
