How many of you have done your hop blends?

My next brew, a 5 gal IPA.
I'm going to Mix 6oz of various hops and then distribute them throughout my brew schedule.

My Hop Blend
- 2oz Amarillo
- 2oz Cascade
- 1oz Chinook
- 1oz Citra

Hop Blend Distribution
- .5oz 60min Boil
- .5oz 30min Boil
- 1oz 15min Boil
- 2oz Whirlpool 15min 160°
- 2oz Dry Hop 3 days with Hop Tea*

* Hop Tea, 2oz Hop Blend steeped in 1qt. 165° water, cooled to 70°

The Bitterness will be a crap shoot, but I feel the Aroma will be the MOAHB.

Who knows, but it will be fun to experiment [emoji6]

If you want MOAHB aroma you’ll want to at least double the amount of hops used.

Sounds good though.
See that's the confusing part because I put those hop quantities into Brewer's Friend And I get a 90+ IBU's yet I have had multiple comments on my Hop quantities as being weak.

I LOVE hops and bitter IPA's but I'm not HOPPSYCHO [emoji23]

SO i guess I just have to try and adjust.

Your 4 hop combo sounds good

In my experience, zero min additions don't add perceived bitterness the way some of the calculators seem to suggest. Honestly though, we never whirlpool but turn the heat off, throw the last hops in and chill down fast so whirlpooling may add some bitterness?
(BTW zero min additions are calculated as 0 IBU in Brewtarget)

One of the IPA's I invented does blended hops as you stated above (Mosaic/Citra) with one small bittering charge earlier but all the flavor/aroma are put in >5 min of the boil. My recipe calls for 6oz in the last 10 min, 4oz dry hop and the flavors/aromas are amazing.
