Now This could find a home in the Gluten free forum but thought it's a cute read for anyone. It's a pretty short article.

Now a bit of a disclaimer on the story, the December issue of the Canadian Medical Association Journal every year is a bit of a silly affair, they set aside the usual academic integrity and publish fun stuff that otherwise wouldn't see print in a scholarly title. :fro:

"The story of a physician, his bowels and beer"
Iain C. Murray, MDCM⇑, Carol S. Heck, PhD

CMAJ. 2013 Dec 10;185(18):1604-5. doi: 10.1503/cmaj.131382.
PMID: 24324201

Some choice passages:
The intervention consisted of the participant ingesting 1 beer, each day, for 31 consecutive days. *snip* Appropriate locales for ingestion included golf courses, pools, cottages, lakeside or the local licensed establishment (colloquially referred to as “the pub”).

Of the 31 journal entries, 28 (90.3%) listed the word “Mmm.” Other comments included “golden elixir,” “I like science!” “Cheers” and “I am glad to be making this contribution for the advancement of celiac disease research.”

Yes, dear

Enjoy :mug:
