I've got our Nut Brown in primary in 6 gallon glass carboys with airlocks. This is our first brew ever and was wondering if I should cover them up. The room they are in gets a fair amount of natural light but I made sure to not put them in direct sun. I wasn't sure if I should be worried about any light at all. Thanks.

I keep old sweaters just to toss on top of the carboy. Light will lead to "skunky beer" don't let any light hit your carboy. They're like Vampires, really....

If you have a grocery store that uses the old paper sacks, they are a perfect fit with a hole cut in the bottom for the airlock

I've also used the 13 gallon kitchen trash sacks with success.
