I bought a convoluted counterflow chiller from Morebeer and decided to try a novel way to house it. I used a large ammo box (labelled fuses but appears the same size as 20mm cartridge box). The back side has brass hose quick connects for water in and out. The wort in is high on one side and the wort out is low on the opposite side and runs past a thermometer and ball valve. I got the fittings from Williams Brewing and the local Grainger. I used eye bolts to secure the outflow assembly. It's easy to move around and the orientation of the in and out flows work well in my space. I plan to experiment with gravity feed vs using a pump to recirculate back to the boil kettle to see what works better.
