For my recent big stout I separated my batch 2.75g each into it's own tub. Issues in the past with krausen overflow even with blowoff tube. Now that the fermentation is almost complete I was thinking of transferring from one tub into the other. 2 reasons 1) I have to pitch some 099 since my primary yeast died out and I this way I wouldn't have to split the yeast. 2) and the main reason is I will be barrel aging this and for some reason think if I combine to 1 tub I won't loose as much in due to trub when I transfer to the barrel.

Any advise here? If I do combine should I also bring over the trub? It still needs time to clean up...only been fermenting for 1 week now.
