I have a stainless carbonator cap and some amber PET bottles. I could fill the PET bottle with bulk hops, attach the cap and purge the CO2. Downside is I'd have to swap out the cap for a regular bottle cap, potentially letting in some oxygen.

OR, I could store the bulk hops in a ball jar and use the FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer and Cap as seen here:

If I stored both in the freezer, which would be the most effective method?
Note: I know I can use vacuum sealed bags that will remove almost all oxygen; and from what I have read that is the most preferred method.
