A co-worker just gave me his complete turkey fryer set up which includes the burner and 7.5 gallon aluminum pot. He told me that he only used it once to deep fry a turkey.
I'm wondering if I should buy a new pot or if I can clean the used one enough to use for beer. I am a bit worried about the oil used to deep fry a turkey "sticking" around and ruining my beer. Even after a thorough cleaning.
What do you all think? If cleaning is an option; any suggestions on what to use? Would Oxyclean work in this situation?
