A friend of mine's Dad was here recently and we were discussing stout. They are British and have lived here in Canada for a 3 years now. Anyway, his Dad mentioned Anchor Stout made by Charrington in the UK.

Can anyone tell me anything about this beer and if anyone knows a recipe I would love to have one. I belive it's a Cream Stout.

Only thing I've found online so far is this:

I've never heard of it but found some details on the Brewery.

CHARRINGTON (Anchor Brewery), Mile End, London E1. Opened in 1738 Closed in 1975. Moved from Bethnal Green 1757. Merged with Bass in 1967.

You might find more under Bass Recipes (circa 1967-75) maybe?
