Morning HBT,

I've decided (after cashing out my keg Tuesday) that it's time to get something bubbling in the basement ASAP. Kind of broke at the moment, but I have a lot of leftovers from other beers in my man cave.

Here's what I have laying around:

5# red wheat
3 or 4# light munich
1# Vieanna
2# flaked white wheat
1# chocolate malt
1/2# cara 40
1/2# cara 60
3# 2-row
2# flaked corn
1# acidulated malt

8oz Amarillo
8oz Citra
1# hallertau (home grown)
1# cascade (home grown)
1# columbus (home grown)

2 packets muntons ale
coriander

I also picked up 5 blood oranges at the store last night.

I'm thinking doing something like a wheat / IPA version of the blood orange hefe - don't know if you guys have tried the recent splurge of wheat IPA beers on the market but I like the flavor, definitely something different.

Here are my thoughts:

*******
5# red wheat
2# flaked white wheat
3# 2-row
1# light munich

Mash 60min @ 151d F

Create the blood orange "tea" using the sparge water, set fruit aside once sparge complete

60min boil:
[60] 1oz Amarillo
[10] 1oz Amarillo
[7] 1oz Hallertau
[5] 1oz Amarillo
[3] 1oz Hallertau

Add blood orange fruit to the brew bucket for fermentation, pitch the muntons

Dry hop with 1oz Amarillo

6% ABV
5 SRM
51 IBU
*******

Sounds kind of tasty to me.. Tear it apart though if you want to, or tell me what you would do with that list of ingredients.

Cheers :mug:
