Can I make this gas connection?

I need to temporarily add a gas line (brewed too many beers). I have this valve remnant of a CO2 regulator that I'm pretty sure will fit. But is it ok to remove that plug to add it there? Or does that capped end has some other purpose on the manifold? Tks

I don't see any reason why you couldn't. As long as it's on the correct side of the regulator I think the rules are pretty slim.

Yep.

It's only purpose is to plug the manifold. You could also remove it and extend a line to another manifold, if desired.
