I was sanitizing my CF chiller before storage today and I, for some reason, thought it would be a good idea to add a Campden tablet to my 5 gallons of hot tap water. I think I was trying to push out any chlorine. I then added an ounce of iodine (Five Star IoStar). Instead of turning that glorious off-red color, the water stayed clear after mixing.
Did I screw up the sanitizer?
