Many Hard Rock and Metal fans may already be aware that Judas Priest's groundbreaking album "British Steel" marked 30 years since release in 2010. This record was not just ground breaking for Priest, but for Metal in general.
As much as Black Sabbath "invented" the Metal genre, Priest refined it into what anybody today would recognize as Heavy Metal, and many bands took their cue from Priest. I'm not talking about that Norwegian Death Metal crap, but REAL Metal. Blazing distorted guitars and in your face vocals.
You can listen to the song that earned Priest the title "Metal Gods". Performed in 2009, from the "British Steel" album, they still sound awesome!
