When brewing with lactose, do you need to use separate equipment from your normal equipment? I thought I read somewhere that lactose can contaminate you equipment and future batches. I cant remember if what I read was talking about lactose or something else like lambics or something.

Lactose is fine with equipment. It's a simple disaccharide that will wash off easily. I think you're thinking of lactobacillus, which is a spoilage bacteria.
