Braumeister temperature issue

So I have noticed after 20+ brews on my 5 gallon system that when I am cooling with an immersion chiller the temperature seems to just freeze at 30-34C. 15 minutes later...same temp. So I have to use another thermometer and lo and behold I am at 60-65F.

For some reason the temp probe isnt picking up the temp while chilling. I have checked it while mashing and boiling and those temps seem to be spot on.

Any ideas what could be causing the discrepancy?

I have made sure all the connections are firm.

Not sure if anyone else has this issue.
Yesterday it did it again... it seems to stop at 35-38C, yet when I use the thermometer it is in the 55-65 range.

Is it a dial thermometer? Sounds like it could be just hanging up. I have one that will do that right around 120*F mark. For only a second but it is annoying.

no, its actually the digital readout on the Braumeister itself that is in error.
