For anyone who's well versed in the Robobrew, is it possible to give this device a brain transplant? I'm thinking that an RPi would be a logical choice.
 
yes it can be done with any kettle with an element mounted in it.. its just a heating element and kettle.. you may need to replace the temp sensor depending on what type the robo uses (likely a thermister like the stc1000 uses)
 
there's a Robobrew group on FB with lots of information re: adding contactors and external controllers.
