Hey-anyone try this beer yet? Boulevards Double Wide IPA-- A buddy of mine shared a couple with me last night. Holy crap. To me, that's the flavor I am looking for. Does anyone know of a recipe, that they have tried, that comes even close? I would actually be pretty happy with "close", lol. If I could brew that beer I believe I would just brew-that beer. I would love if anyone could help me out on this one.

I still havent gotten around to trying this one, doubles are more of my ocassional beers to drink. I have had the single wide which i remember was ok/decent. I have noticed though on many of my favorite ipa's that they do add sugar.I think its because of the more crisp drinkabliity and or some dryness that provides more cleanness/accenuation towards hop flavor maybe. Or maybe its just a coincidence and they use the same yeast.

It has become one of my fav's as well and after only 2. I also found it to have a huge flavor base like stone's IPA. Not the same but a really big flavor. Love it!!!

Can anyone suggest a recipe that might be comparable? Looking for a "Big" IPA to put in the keg...

Thanks,

Thank you kind sir! I will give it a go and post results soon. By the way, how do you guys get those recipes? Are you designing them on some kind of software? Or, did you find this recipe somewhere? I'm always impressed that guys just seem to pull a recipe out and post it....just curious.

I use iBrewmaster. Pretty easy app to use if you have an iPhone or iPad. I built this recipe from information from boulevards website.
