do i need to boil the corn sugar or can i just add it into my bucket? ive always boiled it.. just curious

"How to Brew" and other books I have read recommend boiling the sugar-in-water solution - Palmer cites infection concerns. I've almost always done it that way, and it works well. Doesn't really add any time to the process if you start it boiling in advance, so why not?

yeah ive always done it too. just a curious question. thanks!

Dry sugar will not dissolve into the beer very well. Once it is processed into a solution it will more evenly distribute throughout your beer in the bottling bucket.
