Just recently I listened to Jamil's fruit podcast, which was very informative. One story that he mentioned was trying a beer which had been bottle conditioned with raisins! Has anyone every tried it? I was thinking it might be good for a porter or Belgian trappist ale...:drunk: maybe? Comments....anybody?

I made a beer with dates and they were fermentable as hell, but bottle conditioning with raisins sounds like a pretty difficult manoeuvre. I don't doubt you could get the sugars from them, but getting the appropriate amount for good fermentation for each bottle would be tricky.
