Bottle caps with metal taste

Yes, I drink from the bottle! I drink my beer warm. Issue I have is some of the bottles have a metal taste from the caps. I did notice a metallic smell when I sanitized them. Type of caps? Guy at LHBS said I was just imagining it.
I should add, these caps are quite old, several years. Took some time off!

What brand name are the caps? Could the metallic smell come from chlorine in the water?

My caps started rusting after 30 min soaking in starsan. I'm not sure if it caused me to dump a whole batch from a metallic taste, or if it was the water. I guess I'll never know for sure. Good luck!
