When boiling the wort and hops I get residual hop up along the side of the kettle. Is this just residual left over hops material or should this be scraped back into the boiling wort? Thanks for your help.

Don't stress about it, won't make any difference to your brew.
I normally splash wort against the side to splash it off the side of the kettle, not because it makes any difference to the beer, just so its easier to clean later.

I scrape it back in. But I'm kind of particular about keeping the gear clean.

My fealing is all the hop oils have been released into the wort and its just residual debris but scraping it off does help in cleanup. Thank for the info.
