I have a goood blonde recipe I am wanting to add blueberries to. Looking to have the blueberries have a solid presence but not overpowering (balance and all that) but in looking at various recipes and questions on the topic of blueberries I have seen everything from 1# per gallon up to 4 or 5 per gallon.

I suppose I am opening a can of worms in asking this but what is a good ratio for a solid presence?

Going to be going home and cracking open Designing Better Beers but figured I would ask here what your experiences have been.

Nevermind, I am gonna skip the blueberries and go with something else.
After looking further it is too much berry to get the flavor I'm looking for without going with a blueberry extract.

For lighter flavored fruit (specifically peaches), I use at least 1lb per gallon and then use like 10ml of extract per gallon to just get a little more aroma in there. That really helps to increase the flavor perception. I've never used blueberry extract, but it might be worth a try. As long as the extract isn't horrible.
