Revered some ingredients for a simple blonde ale to use some homegrown mt hood hops. The recipe consists of:

9lbs golden promis
.5lbs carapils
1oz mt hood to bitter
An undetermined amount of whole leaf hops at the end of the boil
Wyeast northwest ale yeast.

Any thoughts?

Looks good bro. I'd keep it simple, light, and noble for late additions if it was me. A super hoppy blonde would be interesting as well.

It's a pretty neutral yeast. What do you want to emphasize?

Mainly looking to get a good look at golden promise and the mt hoods. Pumped about using my backyard hops in this one.

If that's what your after I'd drop the carapils (mash a little higher to get the same effect) and just do a Golden Promise and Mt. Hood SMASH. Wyeast NW Ale is neutral enough for that IMO.

The carapils is already mixed in..... Thought about just smashing it prior to my order. I've never used the northwest yeast. A whole lot of new in this brew for me as far as ingredients.
