Ok, I have one of these beer guns. Due to laziness, and me forgetting about the gun for a month, I came back to find the bucket it was in had gotten some nasty crap in it. The gun itself is coated in the slime. I obviously have to replace the tubing, but was going to take the entire thing apart and just boil it. My question is whether this is ok to do with the brass gas valve or not. Yes, I screwed up, but trying to clean this sucker up and get it put away. Any insight is appreciated.

I pressure cook mine so you should be fine boiling it. Remove the rubber coating from the filler trigger and don't expect the Blichmann sticker to survive. I disassemble mine after each use and soak in PBW. Then rinse and store. I swap between clean beers and sours so it gets pressure cooked after the sours.
