My batch turned out to be contaminated (#*%$^@), so I decided to kill any nasties until I can get out to my LHBS and buy some replacement plastic. I made a solution of 1.5 oz of bleach in 5 gal of water and soaked all the plastic stuff in it, including the brand new tubing I got (which never touched the contaminated beer, but I wanted to clean it anyway). Afterwards, I noticed that it turned a bit milky, so I am wondering if it's okay to use.d

it's fine, but i would soak the hell out of it in plain hot water to ensure all traces of bleach are gone. nothing worse that killing an infection only to pickup chlorophenols in the next batch.

Hey...wait a second...I know you!

*edit* I've found straight-A cleanser will clean anything off tubing, including red wine staining, and hazing from long star-san soaks.

How does Straight-A compare to Oxyclean Free and such?

And yes, you know me. :)
