Howdy all. Looking for a critque of a Belgian Blonde(ish) recipe that I threw together.

12# Belgian Pale Malt
.5# Carabelge
1 oz. Orion hops at 60 mins
1 oz. Orion (or Strisselspalt) at flameout

Wyeast Flanders Golden Ale

Looking for a light bodied beer.

Maybe sub in some sugar? Especially if you're looking for light-bodied. I just made a Belgian blonde that has 10% table sugar and it came out great. Went from 1.062 to 1.008. Jamil's style profile on Beligan blonde is in the BYO edition before last if you're interested, always sound advice.

quick quesion regarding the candi sugar and body ... should i mash this for a medium body then add the candi sugar at flameout? or just mash light?

This last batch I mashed at 150, so a couple degrees higher than I'd usually mash a tripel/golden strong but I still wanted it pretty dry. The D-45 might make this a little dark for the style but as long as you're not entering a competition that's up to you.
