At work, we have a tradition of making cakes for everyones birthday. It was my birthday celebration today at work (sat was my actual bday and I was off yesterday).

Chocolate stout cake with porter ganache, beer brown sugar butter cream filling.

Am I lucky or what. Cake was awesome, hints vanilla and rum like booze came through and my inner beer nerd was at one with the world - nirvana

Every once in awhile it feels that way! The cake maker is the same guy who secured me 2 bottles of the bcbs last year. I bring him homebrew whenever I can!

A lot of non-beer-drinkers were asking if he used rum in the cake. It had a pretty nice flavor impact!
