autumn ale

Just tried my first bottle of Autumn Ale, an October Fest style except in an ale instead of a lager. It aged for only a week in the bottle so the carbonation was a little on the weak side, which I expected. It has a pretty strong alcohol finish to it which I hope will go away with some aging. This is my first darker beer so I'm not sure what to expect from it. Also put a Strawberry Blonde in the secondary today, got the pipeline started!

I brewed a marzen with an ale yeast and then lagered it for 4 weeks it turned out to be one of the best beers I have brewed.

Ya that is a favorite of mine also. I will let this stuff age for awhile and see how it turns out. I will drink 1 a week to see how it progresses.
