Hi,

Just moved from NYC to Lugano in Switzerland. I haven't seen much of a community here so far, but there was a homebrew fest in Lugano just before I arrived, so there's hope!

Need to find out about equipment and supplies, but mostly looking to find out if there are other homebrewers in the area.

Hi

I live in Varese, not far away from Lugano.
I'm not familiar with hombrewer's comunity in Swiderland.
In Milan's area there are a lot of Homebrewers but i think it's better if you register to a Italian forum to find out more information regarding people near your zone, for example you can give a look to http://areabirra.it/italian/index.php
in Milan there are a lot of pub's and there is a manifestation called "italian beer festival" where you can find a lot of passionate people, there are two different version of this event, "pub version" and "brewery version", the second one is much better.

but if you want to meet others homebrewers you have to give a look to MOBI's Italian championship, there are always a lot of good people in the competition's day

for equipment and supplies you can give a look to:

http://www.mr-malt.it/
https://www.birramia.it/
http://www.pinta.it/

these are the biggest one in Italy.

you can also give a looks to German's web site, http://www.hobbybrauerversand.de/ this is the only one that i know but there are a lot of others, also i know that there are interesting one from Holland and UK but i never bought from them

if you have any others question i'm here :)

Thanks! This is really helpful. Have you ever been to Roy Beer in Milan? I found their website earlier today and it looked pretty good.

I never beer to Roy beer, I gave a look but looks like more expensive that mrmalt and others (for example wyeast yeast cost a lot more)
In Italy we miss LHBS , But Craft beer Movements is growing a lot so Maybe In the future...
