Angle bonnet vs shank extension?

My new DIY tap handles are too close to the fridge door. I have 6 inch drip trays, so there's room to move them forward with extensions but the angle bonnets look appealing as I would not have to do any disassembling. Any opinions? Anybody with pics of shank extensions in use? I couldn't find any online.

So I saw your post on another thread. The "splash" was a good call I think. Any regrets? I only have 2 taps and am going with the angle bonnets.
