So after my big rookie mistake:

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f39/rookie-mistake-costs-me-cash-353150/

I took what was left of the wort (about a gallon) and boiled it down to about half. It was weak since it was last runnings so I'm adding sugarwater to it. Like so:

1/4 cup turbinado sugar
1 cup brown sugar (dark)
1/2 tspn vanilla
1/4 cup DME (wheat)

This is to raise the gravity because I feel 1.03 it not good enough. Might be good, might be TERRIBLE. Time will tell. A little wasted sugar is better than just dumping the rest of the wort, no matter how weak it is. My opinion, anyway.

All of that only brought it up to 1.04. So I boiled a small amount of water and added another cup of b. sugar and half cup of turbinado. Dumped it right in and brought it up to 1.06. There we go!

The wort tastes interesting. Looks good. Like a light stout.

Might be good!
