Brewed an amber all malt extract kit. Let it sit in the primary 4 weeks and bottled. After 10 days in the bottle I wanted to see if I was getting carbonation and wanted to sneak a taste. Well it was carbed with a decent head, nice color and clear, I tasted it and it was on the bitter side. I'm pretty sure this is normal for a young beer, not sure. I also pitched the yeast on this one on the warm side and had a super active 48 hour fermentation. So wondering if the bitterness is from it being a young beer or pitching the yeast to warm or both. I'll just let it for a couple more weeks and try another then.:mug:

Most likely it will mellow but if you list your ingredients and hop schedule we can help you pinpoint other reasons.

Also let us know if this was partial boil or full, OG, FG, process, etc.
